On Tuesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 1.54 points to close at 2733.59 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Index decreased 0.29 points, while the Float Index decreased 0.12 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased 0.09 points.
Although the NEPSE index decreased, the transaction volume has increased on this day. A total of 12,3282,017 units of shares worth Rs 6.44 billion were traded in 63,732 trades on the day.
On this day, the shares of two stocks were traded at the positive circuit level. Shares of Sopan Pharmaceuticals and Kalinchowk Hydropower were traded at positive circuit level on the day. Similarly, the share price of Saptakoshi Development Bank increased by 11 percent and Upkar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha by more than 7.5 percent. Shares of Crest Micro Life Insurance Company fell by 9.16 per cent on the day.
On the basis of transaction amount, Agricultural Development Bank's bonds were at the top on the day. The bank's 8-year agriculture bonds were traded worth Rs 570 million on the day. Similarly, shares of Central Finance worth Rs 359 million were traded on the day, while 10.25 per cent of NBBL Debentures 2085 worth Rs 312 million were traded on the day.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 4 sub-groups have increased while the indices of 9 sub-groups have decreased. On this day, the indices of hotel and tourism, hydropower, manufacturing and processing and other sub-groups increased marginally. The finance sub-group index fell the most by 1.01 percent on the day.
