Nepal Hydro to Issue First IPO of Coming FY

Nepal Hydro Developer Limited (NHDPL) will be possibly the first company to issue initial public offering (IPO) in the coming FY. The company has obtained approval from Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) for the issuance of 390,000 units of general shares as an initial public offering.

Nepal Hydro is issuing 390,000 units of shares with a face value of Rs 100 worth Rs 39,000,000.  Previously, the company issued 260,000 units of IPO for locals of affected area from December 11-25.

After the issuance, the paid-up capital of the company will reach Rs 260 million.

The company that is operating 3.52MW Charnawati Hydropower in Dolakha has authorized capital of Rs 600 million.

NMB Capital has been appointed as an issue manager by the company. The IPO has been assigned grade 4 by the ICRA Nepal indicating below average fundamentals.
