National Hydro Unanimously Elects BOD Members

 National Hydro has unanimously elected its board of directors in the annual general meeting (AGM) held on Tuesday at Army Officers' Club. With the selection of the board members, it is expected that the hydro will prosper in the coming days.

National Hydropower that was centered by internal conflicts and disputes since years was not been able to conduct an AGM in the past. However, the company not only concluded the AGM successfully on Tuesday but also unanimously elected the board members and welcomed Hathaway Group to its board.

The AGM elected seven board members for the nine-member task committee. The AGM elected Navaraj Nepal of Hathaway Group, Basudev Gautam, Somnath Sapkota, Sushila Kumari Sharma, Alsen Shrestha, Bishsweshor Subedi and Kumar Pandy to the board. Selection of two board members is pending.

According to the sources, all parties engaged in the company have agreed upon giving the management of the company to Navaraj Nepal of Hathaway Group. The AGM participants believed that the hydro will be able to resolve its conflict and provide good returns to its shareholders in coming future.
