Nepal Life Insurance Changes Share Structure

Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) has changed its share structure. The company converted 10 percent of its promoter shares to ordinary shares as per  the proposal endorsed by its 18th AGM of the company.

The board of directors meeting of the company held on August 10 took the decision. As per the company, it converted the promoter shares of those shareholders registered in its book till August 10 as per pro rata basis.

After the conversion, the share structure of the company has been altered to 60:40 of the promoter and general shareholders. Earlier, the share structure was of 70:30.

Now that the 10 percent promoter shares have been converted to ordinary shares, a total of 4,396,928 units of shares have been added to the market.

Currently, a total of 43,969,286 units of shares of the company have been listed in NEPSE. The company has a paid-up capital of Rs 4.39 billion.
