Samata Microfinance Increase Net Profit by 45%

Samata Microfinance (SMATA) has increased its net profit by 44.71 percent in the first quarter of the current FY. The company that earned Rs 1.4 million in net profit in the review period of the last FY has increased the profit to Rs 2.08 million in the first quarter of the current FY.

Samata Microfinance with Rs 37.9 million in paid-up capital has increased its earning per share to Rs 21.98 from earlier Rs 18.23.

In the review period, the company collected deposit of Rs 307.2 million, borrowed Rs 476 million and has extended loan of Rs 827.4 million.

During the period, the company raised its net interest income to Rs 11.7 million from earlier Rs 8.3 million. It earned operating profit of Rs 2.8 million in the review period. Such profit was Rs 2 million in the corresponding period of the last FY.

The company has net worth per share of Rs 163.01, bad debt ratio of 0.41 percent and P/E ratio of 67.69 times.
