8 Companies Closing Book on Tuesday; Last Day to Secure Dividend

Today is the last day to secure a dividend of eight listed companies. These eight companies are closing their books on January 1, thus, the shareholders registered in its book till December 31 will be eligible to attend the AGM and announced a dividend.

Citizens Bank International (CZBIL) is conducting its 12th AGM on January 14 in Lainchaur Banquet, Lainchaur, Kathmandu at 11:00 AM.

The meeting is supposed to endorse a proposal of distributing 1.635 percent cash and 3.628 percent stock dividend to its shareholders. Moreover, the bank will amend its article of association to facilitate share brokerage function by itself or by establishing a subsidiary company, issue debenture, raise issued and paid-up capital, issue FPO with or without changing the capital structure.

Furthermore, the AGM will delegate authority to BOD to identify potential merger or acquisition or foreign strategic partner and appoint DDA evaluator and fulfill any legal requirement as per regulatory bodies. After the bonus share distribution, the paid-up capital of the bank will reach Rs 10.38 billion.

Shangrila Development Bank (SADBL) is conducting its 14th AGM on January 14 in Amritbhog, Kalikasthan at 9:30 AM. The meeting is approving a proposal of 9.30 percent dividend including 4 percent stock and 5.30 percent cash dividend to its shareholders.

Moreover, the bank will amend its article of association, delegate authority to BOD to forward merger or acquisition and elect 3/3 directors from the promoter and general shareholders.

Nepal Community Development Bank (NCDB) is conducting its 9th AGM on January 14 in Dreamland Gold Resort, Manigram Rupandehi, at 9:00 AM.

The AGM will endorse a proposal of distributing 6.42 percent cash and 1 percent stock dividend.

Moreover, the bank will delegate authority to BOD to forward merger or acquisition and amend its article of association and expand its services.

Sindhu Bikas Bank (SINDU) is conducting its 9th AGM on January 12 in Melamchi River Resort, Melamchi Sindhupalchowk at 10:00 AM.

The AGM will delegate authority to BOD to forward merger or acquisition and to amend its article of association and elect 3 directors from promoter shareholders.

Mahila Sahayatra Microfinance (MSMBS) is conducting its 6th AGM on January 19 in its head office at Makwanpur Chitlang at 11:00 AM.

The meeting will endorse a proposal of distributing 8 percent cash dividend, delegate authority to BOD to forward merger or acquisition and rebrand as "Mahila Sahayatra Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha'.

Summit Microfinance (SMFDB) is conducting its 10th AGM on January 11 in Aggression Bhawan, Birtamod, Jhapa at 8:30 AM.

The meeting will endorse a proposal of distributing 23.53 percent stock and 1.24 percent cash dividend. The meeting will also approve a proposal of issuing 2:1 right share of the paid-up capital maintained after bonus share distribution.

Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company (HIDCL) is conducting its 7th AGM  on January 14 in Nepal Pragya Pratisthan, Kamaladi, at 11:00 AM. The meeting will endorse a proposal of distributing 10 percent stock dividend and cash dividend of Rs 21 million to its shareholders.

Moreover, the meeting will endorse a proposal of issuing 1:1 right share of the paid-up capital maintained after bonus share distribution.

Arun Kabeli Power (AKPL) is conducting its 8th AGM on January 14 in Indreni Complex, New Baneshwor at 11:00 AM.

The AGM is electing 4 directors from promoter and 2 directors from general shareholders.

NRB to Invest 1.48 Billion in Fixed Deposit

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is investing Rs 1.48 billion on 'A' listed commercial banks, 'B' listed national level development banks and 'C' listed national level finance companies.
