Samata Microfinance Increases Net Profit by Whopping 180%

Samata Microfinance (SMATA) has increased its net profit by 180.25 percent to Rs 721.7 million in the second quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 257.5 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

The net profit increased by 180.25 percent in the review period. During the period, the bad debt of the company decreased to 0.64 percent from earlier 1.32 percent.

In the period, the company doubled its deposit collection and loan extension. The company collected Rs 367.1 in deposit collection, borrowed Rs 584.1 million and extended loan of Rs 1.02 billion.

During the period, the company earned Rs 28.3 million in net interest income.

After the capitalization of recently issued 50 percent right shares, the paid-up capital of the company has reached Rs 56.8 million. It has reserve fund of Rs 37.8 million.

Similarly, the company has EPS OF Rs 13.48, net worth per share of Rs 166.47 and P/E ratio of 43.78 times.
