Net Profit of NTC Decreases 15.25%; Reserve Fund Rs 90 Bn

Nepal Telecom (NTC) has earned a net profit of Rs 6.34 billion in the second quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 7.48 billion of the corresponding period of the last FY. The net profit decreased by 15.25 percent in the review period.

Decrease in its service income to Rs 18.44 billion from Rs 19.70 billion of the last FY attributed to the decrease in its net profit.

During the period, the company earned Rs 21.71 in total income that was Rs 22.36 billion in the last FY.

In the review period, the company spent Rs 12.60 billion in expenses .  The expenses increased by 266.4 million in the review period. In the review period of the last FY, such expenses were Rs 12.34 billion.

The company with Rs 15 billion in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 90.99 billion. The company has EPS of Rs 84.55, net worth per share of Rs 706.67 and P/E ratio of 8.75 times.
