The friendly countries have showed additional supports and good will. The high level visits as of Nepal's President to China added further dimension to the two-country relations. China, as the President said, was ready to support Nepal on its national resolution of 'prosperous Nepal-happy Nepali'.

The state visit to China ensured signing of six important agreements on Nepal-China trade and transit protocol. Similarly, Nepal's participation in various international forums including that of the UN convention on women and development, in the World Economic Forum in Davos of Switzerland, the sustainable development and climate change conference in Poland helped build Nepal's image and stand.

The exchanges of high level visits to India and China have further helped enhancing relations and expanding trades and assistance, as per the policies and programmes. The international community was informed well of Nepal's foreign policy with extensive intellectual discussion on Nepal's home-driven peace process, climate and environment, human rights, democracy, regional assistance, women empowerment, international commitment, national interest, and mutual benefits.

As per the policies and programmes, the country's economic diplomacy was focused on promoting exports and tourism, attracting investment and enhancing citizen's access to technology and contributing to Nepal's interest.

Nepal's representation and role in the international organizations including UN Human Rights Council was also enhanced, the President shared.
