Life Insurance Companies Extends Rs 27.99 Bn Loan Against Polices

In the third quarter of the current FY, life insurance companies have extended loan of Rs 27.99 billion against insurance policies. Such loan is provided by 14 out of 19 insurance companies operating in Nepal.

New life insurance companies including Reliance Life, Sanima Life, Prabhu Life, Reliable Nepal and Mahalaxmi Life have not issued such loans.

By the third quarter, Nepal Life insurance extended the highest while Jyoti Life extended the lowest loan against the insurance policies.
