NEPSE Suspends Trading of 2 Commercial Banks and 1 Development Bank

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has suspended trading of two commercial banks and one development bank on July 7. 

The stock exchange suspended the trading after the banks signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for merger and acquisition.

As per NEPSE, it suspended stock trading of Global IME Bank, Janata Bank and Kailash Bikas Bikas from today.

Global IME Bank and Janata Bank signed MoU for the merger on July 5. Similarly, Prime Commercial Bank signed MoU with Kailash Bikas Bank for acquisition.

Once the merger and acquisition of these banks conclude and joint transaction start, the stock exchange will open trading of these listed companies.
