Nepal Bangladesh Bank Raises Net Profit by 41%

Nepal Bangladesh Bank (NBB) has increased its net profit by 41.56 percent to Rs 1.61 billion in the fourth quarter  of the last FY compared to Rs 1.14 billion of the corresponding period of the previous FY.

However, the distributable profit of the bank decreased by Rs 13 percent to Rs 1.03 billion in the review period compared to Rs 1.20 billion of the previous FY.

Similarly, the bank with Rs 8.08 billion in paid-up capital has a reserve fund of Rs 3.32 billion.

During the period, the bank collected a deposit of Rs 59.82 billion and extended loan of Rs 52.72 billion. The bank earned net interest income of Rs 2.91 billion in the review period.

The bank maintained a non-performing loan of 1.56 percent,  EPS of Rs 20.02, net worth per share of Rs 153.91 and P/E ratio of 11.09 times.
