Minister Khatiwada's secretariat informed that he would also hold bilateral meetings with the senior officials of the World Bank Group and IMF in addition to the participation in the joint meeting in Washington DC.
The discussions would dwell on making effective the assistance being provided by the International Development Association (IDA) for policy reform in Nepal and possibilities of identifying further areas of assistance.
The Minister is also scheduled to attend the programme to share Nepal's experience on implementation of federalism. Also in the schedule is the participation in a programme to be organized on the occasion of the 50th years of Nepal's cooperation with IDA.
Moreover, an informal meeting of the Finance Ministers from SAARC countries would be presided over by Finance Minister Dr Khatiwada.
The Minister, who is accompanied by Joint Secretary at the Ministry, Shree Krishna Nepal, is to return home on October 23.
