National Microfinance Increases Net Profit by 59%

National Microfinance (NMFBS) has increased its net profit by 58.67 percent to Rs 42 million in the first quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 26.4 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

In the review period, the company collected a deposit of Rs 1.37 billion, borrowed Rs 2.56 billion and extended loan of Rs 3.80 billion.

During the period, the company earned Rs 86.8 million in net interest income that was Rs 53.4 million in the last FY.

The company with Rs 264 million in paid-up capital has a reserve fund of Rs 172.9 million. The company earned Rs 66.6 million in operating profit that was Rs 41.5 million in the last FY.

The company maintained a non-performing loan of 1.75 percent, EPS of Rs 62.43, net worth per share of Rs 165.52 and P/E ratio of 25.60 times.
