Himalayan Bank Posts 6.85% Growth

The net profit of Bank of Kathmandu (BOKL) has rose by  6.85 percent to Rs 694.2 million in the first quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 649.6 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

As per the financial report published under NFRS format, the bank has distributable profit of Rs 198.8 million.

The bank with Rs 8.52 billion in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 5.79 billion and retained earnings of Rs 2.36 billion.

During the period, the bank collected deposit of Rs 115.48 billion and extended loan of Rs 97.70 billion. Similarly, the bank earned net interest income of Rs 1.31 billion and operating profit of Rs 990.2 million.

During the review period, the bank maintained non-performing loan of 1.16 percent, EPS of Rs 32.59,  net worth per share of Rs 195.83 and P/E ratio of 1.16 times.
