5 companies conducting AGM today

Today five listed companies including NMB Bank, Butwal Power Company, United MOdi, Janaki Finance and Soaltee Hotel are conducting their AGM.

NMB Bank is conducting  24th  AGM in the conference hall of Nepal Prasasanik Prashikshyan Pratisthan (staff college) at Jawalakhel, Lalitpur.

The AGM will endorse a proposal of distributing 21 percent stock and 14 percent cash dividend including tax to its shareholders.The bank with Rs 11.52 billion in paid-up capital started joint transaction with Om Development Bank after its acquisition from September 28. The paid-up capital of the bank will reach Rs 13.95 billion after the bonus share distribution.

In this regard, the bank closed its book from December 20, thus, the shareholders registered in its book till December 19 are eligible to attend the AGM and obtain the announced dividend.

Similarly, Butwal Power Company (BPCL) is conducting its 27th AGM in Karki Banquet, Babarmahal, Kathmandu.

 The meeting will endorse a proposal of distributing 28 percent dividend including 18 percent cash and 10 percent stock dividend to its shareholders.

Presently, the company has a paid-up capital of Rs 2.44 billion that will reach Rs 2.68 billion after the bonus share distribution.

In this regard, the company is closed its book from December 25-January 9, thus, the shareholders registered in its book till December 24 are eligible to attend the AGM and obtain the announced dividend.

Likewise, United Modi Hydropower (UMHL) is conducting its AGM on January 9 in United World Trade Centre, Tripureshwor at 11:00 AM.

The meeting will endorse a proposal of distributing  8.42 percent cash dividend to its shareholders, delegate authority to BOD to make an investment decision, elect director from promoter shareholders and approve financial reports of the last FY.

The company closed its  on December 27, thus, the shareholders registered in its book till December 26 are eligible to attend the AGM and obtain the announced dividend.

Moreover, Janaki Finance (JFC) is conducting its AGM in Hotel Manaki International, Shivachowk,

 The meeting will endorse a proposal of distributing 23.16 percent dividend including 22 percent stock and 1.13 percent cash dividend for tax purpose.

Similarly, the meeting will delegate authority to BOD to forward merger/acquisition process with suitable partner, appoint an auditor and approve financial reports of the last FY.

 The paid-up capital of Janaki Finance will reach Rs 600.4 million after bonus share distribution.

The companies closed its book on December 30 thus, the shareholders registered in its book till December 29 are eligible to attend the AGM and obtain the announced dividend.

Soaltee Hotel (SHL) is conducting its AGM in Nepal Pragya Bhanwan Prekshyalaya, Kamaldi, Kathmandu at 11:00 AM.

The AGM is supposed to endorse a proposal of distributing 26.315 percent dividend including 15 percent stock and 11.315 percent cash dividend to the shareholders.

For the AGM the company closed its book from December 11 to January 9, thus, the shareholders registered in its book till December 10 are eligible to attend the AGM and obtain the announced dividend.
