Sparsha Laghubitta Earns Impressive Net Profit

Sparsha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (SPARS) has logged an impressive growth in its net profit in the second quarter of the current FY. The company that earned merely Rs 621,000 in net profit in the second quarter of the last FY earned Rs 13.7 million in the review period of the current FY.

In the review period, the company logged huge growth in net interest income and operating income, as well as, it recovered huge amount in bad debt that led to the massive net profit earning.

During the period, the net interest income of the company increased by Rs 21.2 million to Rs 33.5 million and operating profit by Rs 15.5 million to Rs 16.3 million in the review period.

Similarly, the company recovered Rs 5.4 million of its bad debt during the review period. The company has bad debt of 0.95 percent and allocated Rs 6.1 million in provision for possible losses.

The company with Rs 93.7 million in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 22.1 million.

During the review period, the company maintained EPS of Rs 29.23, P/E ratio of 23.88 times and net worth per share of Rs 123.58.
