Nepal Hydro Increases Net Profit

Nepal Hydro Developer (NHDL) has earned a net profit of Rs 27 million in the second quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 21.5 million of the corresponding period of the last FY. The net profit increased by 25.69 percent during the review period.

Increase in sales of electricity and operating profit pulled up its profit in the review period. During the period, the company earned Rs 56.8 million from sales of electricity. The sales increased by 11.30 percent compared to Rs 59.1 million of the last FY.

The company with Rs 260 million in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 47.7 million. The company has annual EPS of Rs 20.80, net worth per share of Rs 118.37 and annual P/E ratio of 5.67 times.
