SEBON approves IPO of two hydropower companies

Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has approved 4.8 million units of primary shares (initial public offering) of two hydropower companies including Liberty Energy Company and United Edi Mardi and RB Hydropower Company.

Liberty Energy is set to issue 3,750,000 units and United Edi is set to issue 1,050,000 units of share.

Liberty Energy got a SEBON approval to issue 3,750,000 units of shares on February 20. Out of the total offered shares, the company will issue 1.5 million to locals of affected area and 2,250,000 to the general public.

The company has appointed NIBL Ace Capital as its issue manager. ICRA Nepal has assigned Grade 4 rating to the issue indicating below average fundamentals.

Similarly, SEBON approved IPO of United Edi Mardi and RB Hydropower on February 23. The company will issue 420,000 units to locals and 630,000 units to the general public. The company has appointed Global IME Capital as its issue manager.

Care Ratings Nepal assigned Grade 4 rating to the issue indicating below average fundamentals.
