The decision was taken by high-level meeting on financial sector management coordination committee under the convenorship of Finance Minister Dr Yubraj Khatiwada on March 26.
The meeting concluded that the concerned department should initiate to open basic services related with banking, insurance, securities, company registration and saving and credit extension while taking safety measures for pandemic COVID-19.
Moreover, the committee directed the concern department to disseminate the information regarding the opening of vital services through feasible communication medium.
Regarding the decision, Bhisma Raj Dhungana, Chairman of Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) said the discussion is in preliminary state. "The concrete decision will be taken through a dialogue with concerned authority including NEPSE and CDSC," he added.
