According to The Federation of Nepali National Transport Entrepreneurs, most of the long-distance vehicles have come into operation following the health standards set by the government.
Saroj Sitaula, General Secretary of the Federation, said that the long-distance vehicles have finally come into operation after a long wait. On Wednesday, transport entrepreneurs and trade unions had signed an agreement at the Ministry to operate public transport on the basis of the procedure prepared by the Department of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Management.
The cabinet meeting on Monday decided to allow public transport operation with half of the seat capacity and 50 percent more fare.
