CIT Increases Net Profit by 20%

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) has increased its net profit by 20 percent to Rs 145.9million in the first quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 121 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

The company with paid-up capital of Rs 1.64 billion and reseve fund of Rs 8.28 billion.

Despite an increase in net profit, its EPS has declined due to failure to increase its net profit in proportionate with paid-up capital. The EPS of the company decreased to Rs 33 from earlier Rs 38. It logged net worth per share of Rs 238.

The company has invested Rs 150 billion till date. It invested Rs 11.73 billion in the corporate institutions while Rs 1.05 billion in government bonds and Rs 91 billion in fixed deposits. It has cash in hand of Rs 970 million.
