Net Profit of Chilime Hydropower Company Declines

Chilime Hydropower Company (CHCL) has published a second-quarter financial report of the current FY.   as per the report, its net profit has decreased compared to the corresponding period of the last FY.

In the review period, the company earned Rs 392.4 million in net profit. The net profit declined by Rs 4.1 million compared to Rs 396.6 million of the review period of the last FY.

Although the company increased its sales, a decline in financial income squeezed its net profit during the period.

During the period, the company earned Rs 639.9 million through sales which was Rs 618.6 million in the last FY.

However, its financial income i.e. interest income decreased to Rs 52 million from Rs 73.5 million in the review period.

As per the company, its financial income declined despite increase in bank deposit due to fall in interest rate.

The company with Rs 6.28 billion in paid-up capital has retained earning of Rs 3.55 billion.

The company logged EPS of Rs 12.50, P/E ratio of 49.61 times and net worth per share of Rs 156.53.
