Record Breaking Numbers of COVID-19 Detected in last 24 Hours in Nepal

Nepal has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases detected in 24 hours’ time till date. On Sunday, the country registered 7,211 new cases of COVID-19.

As per the information given by Ministry of Health and Population, the cases were detected through 16,723 PCR test conducted in the last 24 hours. During the time, 27 people lost their life due to the disease.

Out of the total number of cases detected today, 2,744 are from Kathmandu, 550 are from Lalitpur and 301 from Bhaktapur totaling 3,515 from the valley.

Similarly, 1,612 people were discharged after recovery from COVID-19. As per the spokesperson of Ministry, Nepal currently has a total of 48,711 active cases of COVID-19 out of which 3,530 are in institutional isolation and 45,181 are in home isolation. Similarly, 477 are having treatment in ICU and 131 are in ventilators.
