Net Insurance Premium of Gurans Life Insurance Exceeds Rs 3 Bn

The net insurance premium of Gurans Life Insurance (GLICL) has exceeded Rs 3 billion in the third quarter of the current FY.

The company earned a net insurance premium of Rs 3.01 billion in the third quarter of the current FY. The net insurance premium increased by 122.76 percent compared to Rs 1.35 billion of the corresponding period of the last FY.

In the review period, it earned Rs 626.4 million from investment, loan and other and Rs 61.3 million in interest from loan against policies.

During the period, the company increased its net profit by 24.51 percent to Rs 104.2 million compared to Rs 83.7 million of the last FY.

The company that has Rs 1.97 billion in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 523.1 million, catastrophe fund of Rs 55.8 million and life insurance fund of Rs 10.11 billion.

By the review period, it issued 156,989 policies and has earned Rs 3.04 billion in total insurance premium. Moreover, it paid Rs 462.6 million to 1,659 claims and has outstanding payment of Rs 2.7 million to 12 claims.

The company has EPS of Rs 7.04, net worth of Rs 129.31 and P/E ratio of 109.39 times.
