Net Profit of Nepal Infrastructure Bank Increases by 25%

Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NIFRA) has published its second-quarter report of the current FY. As per the report, the bank has increased its net profit compared to the corresponding period of the last FY.

In the review period, the bank earned Rs 442.6 million in net profit. The net profit increased by 25.66 percent compared to Rs 352.2 million of the review period of the last FY. An increase in net interest income, as well as operating profit, pulled its net profit up during the review period.

In the period, its net interest income increased by 44.61 percent while its operating profit increased by 25.57 percent and net fee and commission by 12.56 percent. The bank logged distributable profit of Rs 348.6 million.

Although the bank increased its net profit, its EPS declined to Rs 4.43 from Rs 5.87.

During the period, its reserve fund increased by 7.59 percent, deposits/ borrowing by 133.75 percent and loans by 65.21 percent.

 The bank logged P/E ratio of 88.76 times and net worth per share of Rs 114.22.
