Along with NEPSE index, the sub-indices have also come down. Out of 13 subgroups, 12 logged fall. Only microfinance group has logged a rise.
Among the subgroups, commercial bank group logged the highest fall of 5.19 percent. in the group, the stock price of Machhapuchchhre Bank declined the highest with 7.01 percent fall. Among development bank group, Muktinath Bikas Bank’s share price slipped the highest with 6.04 percent.
However, during the period, microfinance group has maintained its growth. The sub-group gained 1.24 percent during the period.
After commercial bank group, the group which recorded the big decline is ‘other’ group. The subindex of the group loss 5.09 percent. in the group, Nepal Re-insurance Company’s share price declined the most with 6.77 percent while Muktinath Krishi Company’s share price gained the most with 1.14 percent. in trading group, the share price of Salt Trading declined by 16.24 percent and Bishal Bazar’s share price rose by 3.20 percent.
During the period, the share price of few hydropower companies has risen while some has declined. Mountain Energy loss 10.63 percent while Peoples Power gained 64.75 percent.
Moreover, almost all companies listed in the insurance group penned a decline in their stock value. Among life insurance companies, SuryaJyoti Company registered the highest loss while NLG Insurance loss the biggest chunk of its value among non-life insurance companies.
During the period, there is mixed reaction among investors of finance companies and hotel groups. Among finance companies, Guheshwori Merchant and Finance logged 4.93 percent loss in its stock value while Soaltee Hotel logged 4.82 percent decline among the hotel group.
