Issuing a press statement the club informed that the course will lead by Bigyan Bhandari, Lead-Research at Kumari Capital and will explores fundamental principles guiding investment decisions.
As per the statement, scheduled in two phases, the course will commence with two physical sessions on April 14th and 15th, from 3 pm onwards, at the KUSOM Conference Hall. Open to all and free of charge, these sessions will cover fundamental topics including Basics of Investing, Major Tenets of Value Investing, Basics of Fundamental and Economic Analysis, as well as Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) and Mutual Funds.
Moreover, this workshop serves a dual purpose as it aims to prepare participants for the upcoming National Stock Pitching Competition, also organized by the KUSOM Finance Club itself.
Following the physical sessions, the course will shift to online paid sessions from April 16th to 21st, covering advanced topics essential for mastering fundamental analysis. Participants can anticipate learning about Economics for Capital Markets, Reading Financial Statements (Sector Wise - BFIs, Hydropower, Insurance, Manufacturing), Company Screening and Selection, and Company Valuation.
