CYC Nepal Laghubitta's Net Profit Increases Significantly

CYC Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (CYCL) has published its third  quarter report of the current FY.

As per the report, its net profit has increased significantly during the period.

In the review period, the company earned net profit of Rs 28 million which is 263.40 percent growth compared to Rs 7.7 million of the corresponding period of last FY.

Although the company raised its net interest income minimally, decrease in non-performing loans pulled up its net profit.

During the period, its net interest income increased by 17.99 percent and net fee and commission by 15.88 percent. similarly, its total operating income increased by 17.49 percent and operating profit by 291.06 percent.

Meanwhile, its non-performing loans declined to 4.74 percent from 9.84 percent which brought down its impairment charges to rs 5.4 million from Rs 50 million. It helped to increase operating profit and net profit significantly.

The company logged distributable profit of Rs 21.8 million.

In the review period, the company maintained EPS of Rs 14.02, net worth per share of Rs 216.40 and P/E ratio of 123.05 times.

The company has paid-up capital of Rs 266.4 billion and reserve fund of Rs 310.1 million. The company has collected deposit of Rs 4.98 billion and extended loan of Rs 5.74 billion.
