Life Insurance Companies Collects Rs 134 Bn in Premium by Jestha

Life Insurance companies have collected premium of Rs 133.75 billion by the eleven months of the current FY.

The companies collected Rs 12.25 billion in a single month of Jestha alone. By Baishakh, such premium collection was Rs 1121.35 billion.

The premium collection increased by 7.5 percent compared to the corresponding period of the last FY. in the review period of the last FY, the companies had collected Rs 124 billion premium.

Among life insurance companies, Nepal Life Insurance holds the first position for collecting highest first premium. It collected Rs 6.25 billion as first insurance premium. Nepal Life is followed by National Life Na LIC Nepal.

Among micro life insurance companies, Crest Micro Life Insurance collected the highest first insurance premium of Rs 78.6 million followed by Guardian Micro Life and Liberty Micro Life.

In terms of active insurance polices, Reliable Nepal Life Insurance has the highest number of active insurance policies. It has 3,134,771 units insurance polices by the month of Jestha. In the meantime, Prabhu Mahalaxmi has the least number i.e. 177,170 units active insurance policies.

Moreover, Nepal Life Insurance also tops the chart in the heading of renewal insurance premium and total insurance premium collection.
