Issuing a circulator to all insurers, NIA directed them to make national ID mandatory in all insurance services from coming January 14.
As per the directive, the national ID is compulsorily required for new insurance polices, renewal of insurance policies, loan against insurance policy, surrender of policy and claim payment.
Moreover, NIA directed companies to made national ID compulsory in registration and renewal of insurance agents.
