In the month of Shrawan, Nepal exported goods worth Rs 12.22 billion while its imports stand at Rs 128 billion.
The export covers 8.70 percent while the import covers 91.30 percent of the total trade. Skyrocketing import and negligible export has resulted huge trade deficit for the country.
The trade deficit is 0.67 percent less compared to the corresponding period of the last FY. Similarly, imports of the country declined by 0.67 percent and export declined by 9.63 percent compared to the review period of the last FY.
