As per the data published by Nepal Insurance Authority, the companies issued a total of 470,514 policies to earn the insurance premium.
During the period, Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance collected the highest premium of Rs 1.04 billion. It is 12.88 percent of total insurance premium collected by all non-life insurance companies.
After Sagarmatha Lumbini, Siddhartha Premier Insurance collected second highest premium of Rs 813.3 million followed by Shikhar Insurance with Rs 723.4 million in premium. Meanwhile, Prabhu Insurance collected the lowest premium of Rs 294.1 million.
Out of 14 non-life insurance, Shikhar Insurance issued the highest policies of 49,573 while National Insurance issued the least number of policies.
Similarly, four micro insurance companies issued 42,446 policies and earned Rs 110.3 million premium. Among them, Nepal Micro Insurance issued highest policies of 12,184 and earned Rs 31.2 million in premium.
