As per the report published by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), most of the banks raised their profit compared to the corresponding period of the last FY.
By the period, the banks recorded profit of Rs 20.73 billion which is 7.56 percent growth compared to the review period of the last FY.
The data shows that during the period thirteen banks raised their profit while seven logged decline in net profit.
During the period, Laxmi Sunrise Bank recorded the highest growth in net profit. The bank increased its profit by 107 percent. similarly, Kumari Bank and Nepal SBI Bank rose their profit by 60 percent.
However, NIC Asia Bank logged the highest fall i.e. 71 percent degrowth in profit. Similarly, Rastriya Banijya Bank logged 54 percent and Himalayan Bank logged 39 percent decline in profit.
As per the data, Nabil Bank earned the highest net profit of Rs 2.69 billion during the period followed by Global IME Bank with Rs Rs 2.11 billion and Nepal Investment Bank with Rs 1.82 billion in profit.
