Capital Gain Tax Collection Reduces Significantly

Capital gain tax (CGT) collection has declined to the lowest in Poush during the last six months of the current FY.

As per the Central Depository System and Clearing (CDSC), a total of Rs 580 million capital gain tax has been collected in Poush, the lowest in the last six months.

During the last six months, a total of Rs 9.82 billion in capital gain tax has been collected. Such collected reached the highest point in the month of Shrawan. In the month, capital gain tax of Rs 4.27 billion was collected followed by Rs 2.57 billion in Bhadra and Rs 1.04 billion in Mangsir. In the month of Ashoj, capital gain tax of Rs 586.5 million was collected and Rs 750 million in the month of Kartik.

In the last six months, individual investors paid highest capital gain tax of Rs 5.98 billion followed by long term investors. They paid Rs 2.66 billion CGT. Similarly, institution investors paid Rs 1.12 CGT during the period.
