In a statement issued by UN Resident Coordinator Hanaa Singer Hamdy, the UN in Nepal congratulated the people of Nepal on the appointment of Prime Minister and reaffirmed its solidarity with the people of Nepal in their aspirations for peace, justice, transparency, accountability, and progress.
The message also recognized the contributions of President Ram Chandra Paudel, Chief of Army Staff General Ashok Sigdel, and Gen Z youth leaders, whose collective efforts were crucial in making the transition possible. The UN also paid tribute to those who lost their lives during the Gen G movement.
