Issuing a notice on Sunday, the Ministry directed all district administration offices across the country to carry out all regular government services in areas not affected by disasters.
Jay Narayan Acharya, Joint Secretary of the Ministry said, “The Chief District Officers have been directed to assess the situation in their respective districts. If there is no monsoon disaster and or disaster vulnerability, government offices must provide services.”
He said that in all three districts of the Kathmandu Valley, as there is no disaster situation, government services will continue as usual.
Following heavy rainfall since Friday, the government had declared Sunday and Monday as holidays anticipating potential disasters.
However, with improving weather conditions from Sunday, Monday’s holiday has been cancelled.
