Modi Energy’s Loss Increases

Modi Energy (MEL) has published its first quarter report of the current FY.

As per the report, its net loss increased compared to the corresponding period of the last FY.

In the review period, the company logged net loss of Rs 31.1 million. In the review period of the last FY, the company had incurred net loss of Rs 13.1 million.

Decrease in sales income can be attributed to the increase in net loss.

In the review period, the company logged decline in its sales income by to Rs 108.6 million from Rs 158.2 million. Similarly, its total profit decreased by to Rs 89.4 million from Rs 141.7 million. Likewise, its operating profit declined to Rs 88.3 million from Rs 140.2 million.

Meanwhile, its financial expenses declined by 28.07 percent.

The company maintained LPS of Rs 5.68 and net worth per share of Rs 59.79.

The company with Rs 2.90 billion in paid-up capital has retained loss of Rs 1.16 billion.
