The project with a capacity of 9.6 megawatts is developed by the Daramkhola Hydro Energy Limited. The power produced by the project is also connected to the central transmission line, officials said.
The dam of the project is constructed at the Kandebas area of Galkot Municipality-8 and the powerhouse is some 4.5 kms away from the dam site at Manewapata, Project Engineer Mithilesh Chaudhary said.
According to Chaudhary, the capacity of the project is 6.6 megawatts during the dry season.
Chairman of Daramkhola Hydro Energy Nar Bahadur Pun shared that more than Rs 2 billion was invested for the project development.(RSS)
