By mid-October, twenty commercial banks had earned Rs 13.15 billion in net profit. The net profit increased by 47.34 percent to Rs 19.37 billion by mid-November.
During the period, Nepal Investment Mega Bank logged the highest growth of 1300.55 percent in net profit. The bank that earned Rs 45 million by mid-October recorded net profit of Rs 630.9 million.
Meanwhile, Kumari Bank logged the least growth of 11.71 percent in net profit. The bank had earned Rs 1.05 billion by mid-October which grew to Rs 1.18 billion by Mid-November.
By Mid-November, Citizens Bank International logged profit of Rs 16.4 million compared to Rs 220.4 million net loss of Mid-October.
In terms of amount, Global IME Bank pens the highest profit of Rs 2.51 billion by Mid-November. In Mid-October as well, the bank logged the highest profit of Rs 1.85 billion.
Among the banks, two banks Global IME Bank and Nabil Bank managed to earn more than two billion in net profit while seven banks managed to raise their profit above Rs one billion.
