The Office shared that 3.46 million kilograms of cardamom worth Rs 7.2 billion were exported during the review period.
Information Officer of the Office, Ishwar Kumar Humagain, said that cardamom export increased by 58 per cent during the period as compared to the same period of the last fiscal year. The export of cardamom was recorded at Rs 4.55 billion in the first six months of the last fiscal year.
Similarly, export of Chhurpi, veneer sheet and lentils increased significantly, while export of tea and plywood declined during the period.
Humagain shared that the export of lentil increased by 481 percent and veneer sheet by 109 percent in the first six months of the current fiscal year compared to the same period of the last fiscal year. (RSS)
