The total import of the review period is 15.3 percent more compared to the same period of the last fiscal year, the officials shared. The total import was Rs 380.6 billion in the last fiscal year.
Information Officer of the Birgunj Customs Office Udaya Singh Bista said that there was an impressive growth in the imports of goods and commodities from Birjung point in the past six months.
During the past six months, petroleum products worth Rs 90.6 billion, while iron and iron goods worth Rs 39.3 billion were imported from the Birgunj customs point.
Other major importable goods include machinery and auto parts, soybean oil, electric machinery goods and appliances. (RSS)
