Finance Companies Improve Q2 Finance Reports, Which Company Logged Highest Profit?

Finance companies have published their financial reports of the second quarter report of the current FY. As per the published reports, the companies have improved their financial situation during the period.

In the review period, the fifteen finance companies recorded net profit of Rs 532 million which was net loss of Rs 730.2 million in the corresponding period of the last FY.

In the review period of the last FY, out of fifteen companies, six had incurred loss. However, this quarter, three companies have reported loss.

Among the companies, Pokhara Finance earned the highest net profit of Rs 233.8 million, followed by  Manjushree Finance with Rs 135.3 million followed by Goodwill Finance with Rs 111.7 million and Gorkhas Finance with Rs 61.6 million. Similarly, Central Finance earned Rs 39.1 million, ICFC Finance earned Rs 32 million, Best Finance earned Rs 17.4 million, Guheshwori Finance earned Rs 16.8 million, Shree Investment and Finance earned Rs 12.1 million. Meanwhile, Multipurpose Finance, Reliance Finance and Samriddhi Finance recorded net loss below Rs 10 million. However, Janaki Finance, Progressive Finance and Nepal Finance reported occurrence of loss during the period.

In the review period, ten out of fifteen companies reported growth of 14 to 240.72 percent while four companies logged decline in net profit. Gorkhas Finance recorded the highest growth while Nepal Finance logged highest decline in net profit. Gorkhas Finance earned Rs 61.6 million in net profit compared to Rs 2.5 million net loss of the review period of the last FY. Meanwhile, Nepal Finance that earned Rs 20.5 million in net profit in the last FY logged net loss of Rs 87.3 million this quarter.

In terms of EPS, Pokhara Finance has the highest EPS of Rs 43.20. Goodwill Finance and Manjushree Finance have EPS above Rs 20 and Gorkhas Finance has EPS of Rs 14.21. While other finance companies have less than Rs 10 in EPS, Janaki Finance, Progressive Finance and Nepal Finance have negative EPS.
