On Thursday, the NEPSE index increased by 5.82 points to close at 2782.18 points. Likewise, the float index increased by 0.01 points, while the sensitive float index decreased by 0.39 points and the sensitive float index decreased by 0.04 points.
Although the NEPSE index increased modestly, the transaction volume decreased on this day. A total of 21,318,000 unit shares worth Rs 8.81 billion were traded in 103,225 trades of 328 stocks on Thursday.
On this day too, shares of 6 stocks were traded at a positive circuit level. Shares of Reliance Spinning Mills, Ridge Line Energy, Suryakunda Hydro Electric, Bhujung Hydropower, Super Khudi Hydropower and Hotel Forest Inn were traded in the positive circuit level today. Similarly, the share price of Saptakoshi Development Bank has increased by 7.5 percent and the share price of Srinagar Agritech Industries has increased by more than 6.5 percent. The share price of Bhugol Energy Development Company fell the most by 3.06 percent on the day.
On the basis of transaction amount, SY Panel Nepal topped the list on the day. Shares worth Rs 357 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Ngadi Group Power Ltd worth Rs 310 million were traded on the day, while Himalayan Reinsurance Company traded Rs 295 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 7 sub-groups have increased while the indices of six sub-groups have decreased. The index of the trading sub-group increased the most by 2.53 percent on the day. Likewise, the production and processing sub-group index increased by 1.76 percent today. The indices of banking, finance, life insurance, microfinance, non-life insurance and other sub-groups saw a decline.
