Similarly, the sensitive index has increased by 0.65 points, the sensitive float index has increased by 0.32 points and the float index has remained constant.
Although the NEPSE index decreased marginally, the transaction amount has increased. A total of 17,588,000 units of shares worth Rs 7.81 billion were traded in 121,433 trades of 342 stocks on the day.
Today, three stocks were traded at a positive circuit level. Shares of Palpa Cement Industries, Suryakunda Hydro Electric and Shikhar Power Development were traded at the positive circuit level on the day. Similarly, the share price of Jhapa Energy increased by 14 percent and Ganapati Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha by 9 percent. Meanwhile, the share price of Hotel Forest Inn fell by 10.75 percent on the day.
On the basis of transaction amount, National Hydropower Company topped the list on the day. The company's shares worth Rs 413.4 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Reliance Spinning Mills worth Rs 325 million were traded on the day, while the turnover of Solu Hydropower crossed Rs 315 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 5 sub-groups have increased while the indices of 8 sub-groups have decreased. The indices of banking, finance, investment, production and processing and non-life insurance sub-groups increased slightly. The hotel and tourism sub-group index fell the most by 2.36 percent on the day. Similarly, the index of the business sub-group decreased by more than 1 percent on the day.
