The government is going to review the tax structure. President Ram Chandra Poudel said this while presenting the policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2026/027 in the House of Representatives on Monday.He said the government would move ahead by reviewing the tax structure.
The policy and programmes presented by President Ram Chandra Poudel in the joint session of the Federal Parliament have mentioned that public enterprises would be classified on the basis of their condition, capacity and necessity with the objective of making them systematic, effective and competitive.
The policies and programs have included the policy of expanding collaboration with the private sector in public enterprises, enhancing the capacity of the corporations and merger as per the need.
The government has indicated that it will adopt a new strategy to reform institutions that have been in losses for a long time and have not been able to operate effectively. It aims to improve the management of the corporations, control the operating cost and make the service delivery effective.
