On Tuesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 39.44 points to close at 2,744.40 points. Similarly, the sensitive index decreased by 5.15 points, while the float index decreased by 2.55 points and the sensitive float index decreased by 1.89 points.
Despite the fall in NEPSE, the transaction volume has increased moderately. A total of 10,678,550 units of shares worth Rs 4.66 billion were traded in 62,512 trades on the day.
On the day, stock of Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was traded at positive circuit level on this day. The stock price of the microfinance company rose by Rs 195 to Rs 1,395 on the day. Other stocks, however, saw a price rise of less than 6 percent. Meanwhile, stock price of First Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha fell by 12.40 percent on the day. Similarly, the unit price of Kumari Dhanvriddhi Yojana has decreased by more than 8 percent on this day.
On the basis of transaction amount, National Hydropower is at the top on this day with Rs 189.9 million worth transaction. Similarly, shares of Reliance Spinning Mills worth Rs 180 million were traded on this day, while the turnover amount of RIDI Power Company crossed Rs 170 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the index of one sub-group has increased while the index of 12 sub-groups has decreased. The index of the mutual fund sub-group has increased marginally on this day. The index of the trading sub-group has decreased by 2.33 percent on the day. Similarly, the indices of the finance, hotel and tourism and hydropower sub-groups have decreased by more than 2 percent while the indices of development banks, investment, manufacturinga and processing, microfinance and other sub-groups have decreased by more than 1 percent.
