On Tuesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 26.16 points to close at 2,674.48 points. Similarly, the Sensitive Index decreased by 2.31 points, while the Float Index decreased by 1.63 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.89 points.
Along with NEPSE, the transaction amount has also decreased. A total of 10,040,164 units of shares worth Rs 4.36 billion were traded in 72,854 trades on the previous trading day.
On this day too, the shares of two stocks were traded at a positive circuit level. Shares of Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower and Yambaling Hydropower were traded at the positive circuit level on the day. Other stocks that rose in value on the day were less than 6 percent. Shares of Bungal Hydropower Ltd fell the most by 15 percent on the day. Similarly, the share price of Appolo Hydropower fell by more than 11 percent on the day.
Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company Ltd topped the list on the basis of turnover on the day. The company's shares worth Rs 341.62 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares worth Rs 189.098 million of Sopan Pharmaceuticals were traded on the day, while the turnover of Reliance Spinning Mills crossed Rs 172 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of one sub-group have increased while the indices of 12 sub-groups have decreased. On this day, the indices of the mutual fund sub-group increased marginally. The manufacturing and processing sub-group index decreased the most by 1.92 percent on the day. Likewise, the sub-indices of finance, hotel and tourism, hydropower, investment, non-life insurance and trading sub-groups decreased by more than 1 percent each.
