On Friday, the NEPSE index decreased by 2.00 points to close at 2,649.51 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Index decreased by 0.55 points, while the Float Index decreased by 0.32 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.22 points.
Although the NEPSE index decreased, the transaction volume has increased on this day. A total of 7,727,649 shares worth Rs 3,945 billion were traded in 39,546 trades on the day, compared to Rs 2.83 billion on the previous trading day.
On this day, the shares of three stocks were traded at a positive circuit level. Shares of Snow Rivers, Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower and Yambling Hydropower Ltd were traded in the positive circuit level on the day. Taksar Pikhuwa Khola and Yambaling were traded in the secondary market from the first trading day of this week, while Snow Rivers is the company that started trading from today. In the mean time, shares of Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha fell by 10.76 percent on the day.
On the basis of turnover amount, Global IME Bank Limited debenture 2086/87 is at the top position in on this day. The debentures worth Rs 331.6 million were traded on the day. Similarly, Global IME Bank Limited debenture 2084/85 worth Rs. 285.77 million were traded on the while the transaction amount of Nepal Bank Debentures 2087 crossed Rs. 220 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 5 sub-groups have increased while the indices of 8 sub-groups have decreased. The trading sub-group index increased the most by 1.08 percent on the day. Likewise, the indices of hotel and tourism, hydropower, mutual fund and non-life insurance sub-groups increased slightly.
