NEPSE Index Continues to Decline, Turnover Increases Slightly

On the second trading day of the week, the NEPSE index has yet again decreased. The index has been declining since the last seven trading days.

On Tuesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 24.63 points to close at 2,608.33 points. Similarly, the Sensitive Index decreased by 3.04 points, while the Float Index decreased by 1.52 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 1.10 points.

However, the transaction amount has increased on the day. On Monday, NEPSE recorded transaction amount of Rs 2.67 billion. Today, NEPSE recorded turnover of Rs 3.2 billion from trading of 8,737,392 units of shares in 79,286 trades on the day.

On this day, the shares of one stock was traded at positive circuit levels. Share Snow Rivers was traded in the positive circuit level on the day with 14.99 percent growth. Similarly, Corporate development Bank logged 13.04 percent and Swabhiman Laghubitta logged 10.80 percent growth. Meanwhile, the share price of TAksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower fell the most by 14.03 percent on the day.

On the basis of turnover, Siddhartha Bank topped the list on the day. Shares worth Rs 133.90 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Taksar Pikhu worth Rs 113.278 million were traded on the day, while Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut has crossed Rs 98.9 million.

On this day, the indices of all 13 sub-groups have decreased. Among them, the trading sub-group index decreased the most by 1.74 percent. Likewise, the indices of the sub-groups of finance, hydropower, manufacturing and processing and others decreased by more than 1 percent on the day.
